Composition
Each ml contains Iodine 10 mg/ml and Potassium Iodide 10 mg/ml.
Target species
Cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, dogs and cats.
Indication
Spray Cure is antiseptic and disinfectant which can kill bacterial spores, fungi, viruses and some protozoa. It is suitable for the disinfection of mucosal surface and is used to treat mucosal inflammation and ulcers in the mouth, tongue, gums, and vagina. It is also indicated for treatment and prevention of infections of the skin (including traumatic and surgical wounds) and claws.
Dosage and administration
Spray Cure is indicated for cutaneous administration. Shake the container thoroughly before spraying. The container should be held at a distance of approximately 15-20 cm form the area to be sprayed. Spray for approximately 3 seconds until the treatment area is evenly coloured. For prevention of infections after superficial traumatic or surgical wounds a single administration is recommended. In case of claw/hoof infections this treatment should be repeated after 30 seconds. Dependent on the severity of injury/infections and the rate of improvement treatment should be repeated within 1-3 days. Topical treatment may be used alone or in combination with systemic therapy. Systemic antibacterial treatment is necessary for all but the most superficial skin infections.
Drug interactions
Mercury-containing drugs, no matter how they are used, can produce mercury iodide and exhibit toxic effects when they encounter iodine agents (potassium iodide, iodine tincture, iodine-containing food like kelp and seaweed, etc.).
Warnings
Flammable due to the propellant in the aerosol can. Pressurized container may burst if heated. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperature exceeding 50°C. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn even after use. Use only in adequately ventilated area.
