COCCIDIOSIS the disturbing chicken disease.

This is one of the diseases that result from unhygienic environment in a poultry house. Once you allow water to get poured in a poultry house, it creates favourable environment for survival and multiplication of Coccidiosis.  

Pouring feeds in the litter by wreck less worker. Our birds have a tendency of eating from the litter. If feeds are poured in the litter,  birds will eat from the ground,  picking Coccidiosis.  At times the litter get poured into feeders and drinkers, making feeds and water dirty. This will lead to endless Coccidiosis.  Over crowding of birds and failure to properly rake the litter will lead to the same problem.

It’s better to first look at the cause and rectify it. Then look for a treatment. We treat Coccidiosis using one of the following options: vazuril, supermed, coccitoltrazuril, amprocidia, toltracox.

- avoid pouring water in the poultry house.

-avoid pouring feeds in the litter.

-put little feeds that birds can eat and finish without dirtening it.

-put Salinomycin and sangromix Active D   in the feed.

-since Salinomycin stops at 6weeks,  continue with SANGROVIMIX ACTIVE D  in all stages

-as you treat, take and mist using  VIRUCHOC in the litter.

-keep the water clean.

-raise all drinkers from the ground to reduce incidences of water getting dirty.

-workers should always clean feeders before adding more feed.

- drinkers should be washed clean whenever replacing for new water.

-after treating with a coccidiostat,Give your birds SANGROVIT in water for a period of 5 days for proper healing.

Note: Coccidiosis is characterised by signs like bloody diarrhea, brown diarrhea, lack of appetite, poor weight gain, reduction in laying.
