COMPOSITION
Each gram contains
Oxytetracycline (as Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride) 200 mg,
Exp. qs to 1g.
INDICATIONS
Oxytong WSP 20% is indicated for the treatment and control of bacterial infections
such as infectious coryza, fowl cholera, infectious synovitis, fowl typhoid, chronic
respiratory disease (CRD), bacillary white diarrhea, spirochaetosis and to control
secondary infection during viral outbreaks.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Chickens & Turkey:
Infectious synovitis caused by Mycoplasma synoviae, susceptible to oxytetracycline:
200-400 mg oxytetracycline per 4.5 liter of drinking water, i.e. Oxytong WSP 20%
1-2 g per 4.5 liter of water for 3-5 days.
Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and air sac infectious caused by Mycoplasma
gallisepticum, Salmonellosis and fowl cholera caused by Pasteurella multocide:
400-800 mg oxytetracycline per 4.5 liter of drinking water, i.e. Oxytong WSP 20%
2-4 g per 4.5 liter of water for 3-5 days.
PRECAUTION
It should not be used in combination with penicillin drugs, and medicines or feeds
containing calcium salts, iron salts and polyvalent metal ions.
It may aggravate the renal impairment when used with strong diuretics.
It should not be mixed with tap water with high chlorine content and alkaline solutions.
It is not intended for animals with severe liver damage.
SIDE EFFECT
Long-term use may cause superinfection and liver damage.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 7 days.
Egg: 2 days.
