Composition
Each ml contains Progesterone 25mg.
Pharmacology
On the basis of estrogen action, progesterone can promote the development of the endometrium and glands, inhibit the contraction of uterine muscles, weaken the response of uterine muscles to oxytocin, and play a role of ” tocolysis”. Through the feedback mechanism, it can inhibit the secretion of luteinizing hormone in the anterior pituitary, and inhibit estrus and ovulation. In addition, it acts together with estrogen to stimulate the development of mammary gland acini and prepare for lactation.
Indications
Sex hormone drug. For prevention of abortion.
Dosage and administration
By intramuscular injection.
Horse and cattle: 50~100 mg (2~4 ml) per time.
Sheep & goats: 15~25 mg (0.6~1 ml) per time.
Dog: 2~5 mg (0.08~0.2 ml) per time.
Adverse reactions
No adverse reaction has been found following the prescribed usage and dosage.
Precautions and warnings
Do not use in dairy cows during lactation.
Long-term use may prolong the pregnancy period.
